Women's Basketball No. 1 in the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 Poll

PRINCETON – For the first time in over two years, the Princeton Women's Basketball Team is No. 1 in the College Insider Women's Mid-Major Top 25 poll.

The last time Princeton was No. 1 in the poll was in Nov. of 2023. South Dakota State had been the No.1 team in the previous 15 polls. South Dakota State, James Madison, Troy and Ball State round out the top five.

Now in its' 16th season, the Women's Mid-Major Top 25® is voted on by 31 Division I coaches. James Madison head coach Sean O'Regan is the chairman of the voting panel this season.

Princeton is 8-1 this season and on a six-game winning streak. The Tigers sit with a quad one victory and three quad two wins already. They head on the road Saturday to take on the Belmont Bruins. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. (1 p.m. CT).
