Men's Swimming & Diving Sits First After Second Day at Big Al Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's swimming & diving team ended the second day of competition at the Big Al Invitational in first place Friday at DeNunzio Pool.

The quartet of Yanning Zhang, Keian Lam, Conor McKenna and Jake Tarara finished first in the 200 medley relay in 1:26.10.
The Tigers also won the 800 freestyle relay in 6:29.85 after the tea of Alex Townsend, Arthur Balva, Oliver Rowe and Lucas Strøbek finished first.
The 200 freestyle saw six Tigers in the A final. Mitchell Schott (1:32.44) earned a first-place finish, Parker Lenoce (1:35.24) second, Daniel Li (1:35.90) fourth, Lucas Tudoras (1:36.89) fifth, Max Marcus (1:38.28) seventh and Jake Tarara (1:39.30) eighth.
Five Tigers advanced to the A final on the 3-meter board. Luca Fassi (386.35) won the event while Taso Callanan (325.95) came in third, Luka Martinovic (315.30) fourth, Ben Romig (305.30) fifth and Chase Sorosky (288.75) sixth.
Princeton earned the top two finishes in the 100 butterfly, with Alex Townsend (46.84) touching first and Conor McKenna (46.84) second.
The 400 IM saw five Tigers make the A final. Arthur Balva (3:48.66) touched second, Jiarui Xue (3:50.22) third, Jack Haley (3:50.31) fourth, Devyn Caples (3:51.34) fifth and John Rusnock (3:51.87) sixth.
Andrew Zou (53.00) finished second and Keian Lam (53.77) third in the 100 breaststroke.
Parker Lenoce (46.95) came in second in the 100 backstroke and Yanning Zhang (47.32) third.
