Men's Hockey Shuts Out RPI, 4-0, To Complete Weekend Sweep

The victory caps a weekend sweep to New York's capital region as the Tigers downed the Engineers to follow up a 5-1 win at Union on Friday night. The two-game sweep of the Union/RPI trip is just the fourth all-time for a Princeton team and the first since doing so November 14-15, 2008.
Conor Callaghan made 22 saves for his first career shutout, and he was at his best in the first period when he made 10 stops.Lucky Luc!

Jake Manfre had two goals in the game, giving him three goals for the weekend.
David Jacobs had two assists on the night, matching his number from the night before to give him a four-assist weekend.A Mighty Fine Good Man!

Kai Daniells had a three-point night with a goal and two assists
The Tigers enter the exams break 7-4-0 overall and 4-2-0 inside the ECAC.
Princeton finally got on the board, landing the game's first goal at the 11:11 mark of the second period off the stick of Jake Manfre.
A quick pass through the neutral zone from Jayden Sison sprung Kai Daniells and Manfre on an odd-man rush and Daniells made a subtle backhand pass to Manfre who had space down the left wing to fire a snap shot over Krawchuk's glove and inside the far post for his fifth goal of the season and second of the weekend.Man, Oh Manfre!

Princeton extended its lead to 2-0 early in the third period, connecting on a power play goal for the first time in four games when Kai Daniells patiently found an angle he liked before sending a wrist shot home 3:01 into the third.
Just under three minutes later, Manfre gave the Tigers a three-goal lead with his second of goal of the night. David Jacobs made a heady play with the puck, faking out a RPI defender before sliding a pass through the crease to an open Manfre who tucked the puck home with 13:55 to play in the game.KD on the PP!

The Tigers immediately went to the penalty kill after taking the 3-0 lead, but dialed up another successful kill and just as the penalty was expiring Luc Pelletier jumped on a RPI turnover and fired home his fourth goal of the season to set a new career high.
