Tall's Career-High 18 Points Paces Women's Basketball Over Brown, 60-47

PROVIDENCE – The Princeton Women's Basketball Team allowed just two baskets in the fourth quarter to take down the Brown Bears, 60-47, at Pizzitola Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.
Even at 43-all, the Tigers ripped off seven consecutive points to begin the final stanza, forcing a Brown timeout.
The run did not stop. Fadima Tall hit back-to-back threes to extend the advantage to 13, 56-43.
Brown's Gianna Aiello broke up the road squad's run with a bucket at the 2:53 mark, but the home team would not score again until there was 46 seconds left to go.
The Bears finished 2-of-15 during the final 10 minutes while the Tigers went 7-of-13 (53.8 percent).
Ashley Chea registered 10 of her 14 points in the second half as the road unit was 14-of-28 from the floor (50.0 percent) during that stretch.
Tied at 7-all in the first stanza, Princeton sprinted out with seven of nine to jump in front, 14-9, before holding a 20-15 advantage as the second frame got underway.
Brown held Princeton to six points in the second quarter to take a 28-26 halftime lead.
Head coach Carla Berube's team blitzed Brown out of the break with nine straight to go up, 35-28, just 1:43 into the second half. The Bears rebounded with 11 of 13 to go back in front, 39-37. Chea's pull-up jumper tied the score at 43-all as the fourth stanza started.
Tall set a new career-high with 18 points, adding nine rebounds along with two steals. Belker nabbed 15 points for the second straight night while Chea dropped in 14 points in the win.
The Bears matched their season low for points in a game this season while two of their starters were held scoreless (Isabella Mauricio and Olivia Young).
Princeton is now 15-5 overall and 6-1 in the Ivy League while Brown dropped to 10-10 and 4-3 in the conference. The Tigers welcome the Penn Quakers to Jadwin Gym next Saturday (Feb. 8). Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
