Chea's Career High Helps Women's Basketball Earn Berube's 500th Win

PRINCETON – The Princeton Women's Basketball Team found its inner excellence to defeat the Penn Quakers, 74-60, at Jadwin Gym on Saturday afternoon.
Ashley Chea registered a career-high 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting, adding four rebounds and three assists. Tabitha Amanze added 12 points and five rebounds in the victory.
Princeton extended its advantage to 27, 37-10, before Penn made a push. The Quakers jumped out with a 15-2 push to cut their deficit to 14, 39-25, before going into halftime down, 44-29.
Head coach Carla Berube's squad righted the ship in the third stanza as Skye Belker added 10 points during the session as the Tigers led by 21, 62-41, after 30 minutes.
Princeton was not threatened the rest of the way.
This was Berube's 500th career victory as she improved to 116-22 overall (.841) as Princeton's head coach. After going 384-96 (.800) at Tufts University, Berube currently sits with an .809 winning percentage during coaching career.
