Women's Basketball Earns Spot In Ivy Madness; Drops Brown, 78-67

PRINCETON – The Princeton Women's Basketball Team took down the Brown Bears, 78-67, at Jadwin Gym on Friday evening.
With the win and Dartmouth's loss to Columbia, Princeton clinched a berth in the Ivy League Tournament (Mar. 14-16) in Providence. The Tigers have won five straight Ivy Madness titles.
After Brown opened the game with a three-pointer, Princeton ripped off 11 straight points. In front, 21-10, with 3:17 remaining in the first quarter, the Tigers finished the frame with 12 consecutive points to lead 33-10. Head coach Carla Berube's squad went 11-of-15 (73.3 percent) from the floor and hit seven of eight treys.
The home team led by as many as 29 before taking a 49-26 advantage into halftime. The Tigers finished the first half shooting 56.3 percent.
Princeton held at least a 15-point lead through the third quarter and expanded it to 21 in the fourth stanza before settling with the 11-point win.
Ashley Chea led all scorers with 19 points while Fadima Tall just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds. Skye Belker added 14 points in the win.
Princeton finishes the weekend with Senior Night Saturday vs. Yale. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
