Women's Squash Drops Match to Harvard
February 02, 2025 | Women's Squash
A match that would decide at least a share of the 2025 Ivy League women's squash title went to No. 3 Harvard over No. 1 Princeton, 6-3 on Sunday afternoon in Cambridge.
The first five matches off court went to the Crimson, at third, fourth, seventh, sixth and first positions, clinching the match and the outright Ivy League title for Harvard, which finished its league run at 6-0.
Princeton got on the board with a win from Liyen Teoh at eighth position as Teoh held a 2-1 lead before winning in five. That started a run of three of the last four matches to go to Princeton, with Caroline Eielson fending off a challenge from Ocean Ma at fifth after a 2-0 lead to win in five and Hermione Cao closing it out with a win at ninth in four games to break from a 1-1 tie.
Princeton will head home for a match against No. 5 Stanford on Friday before heading to No. 4 Penn for its league finale next Sunday.
