PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 24 Princeton University men's tennis team downed Delaware Saturday afternoon, 5-2.
The Tigers won the doubles point, with No. 24 Paul Inchauspe and Filippos Astreinidis first earning a 6-1 victory over Piotr Siekanowicz and Euan Mackenzie. The duo of Fnu Nidunjianzan and Ellis Short then overcame Tobey Locke and Ram Mude, 6-1.
Singles saw No. 51 Fnu Nidunjianzan defeat Karol Malirz, 3-3 (retired), at No. 2, then Milan Markovits dispatched James Sclater, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 6. At No. 4, Aleksandar Mitric cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Mude before No. 26 Inchauspe upended Siekanowicz at No. 1, 6-3, 6-3. Short prevailed at No. 3 over Locke, 6-2, 6-2.
