Men’s Swimming & Diving In Second After Day Two At Ivy Championships

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The No. 23 Princeton men's swimming and diving team was back in action for the first full day of the Ivy League Championships.
Mitchell Schott's 200 medley performance highlighted the night as the junior captain picked up his first career individual Ivy Champion title. Schott touched the wall at 1.41.44, the second fastest time in program history. Tyler Hong finished fourth in the A-final with a time of 1:44.02. Noah Sech came in fourth in the B-final while Hunter Kim and Max Seidel earned Points for Princeton in the C-final
Arthur Balva earned second place in the 500 freestyle coming in at 4:17.22 and Parker Lenoce earned eighth in the A-final at 4:23.41. Santiago Gutierrez finished third in the B-final to round out the event.
The third event up was the 50 freestyle, as freshman Patrick Dinu came in third for the Tigers and senior Brett Feyerick finished seventh in the A-final. Yanning Zhang came in third in the B-final as Logan Noguchi and Conor McKenna finished fifth and seventh respectively in the C-final.
On the boards, all three Princeton divers advanced to the A-finals. Aidan Wang came in second with a score of 363. George Callanan and Luca Fassi finished fourth and fifth on the podium for the Tigers.
Princeton sits in second in the team scores with 407.5 behind Yale. Day three of the Ivy League Championships will begin tomorrow with prelims at 11:00 AM and finals at 6:00 PM.
