Women's Tennis Team Splits Day With Penn State, Temple

Splitting a visit from Penn State and Temple on Saturday, the No. 48-ranked Princeton women's tennis team closed out the doubleheader with a win over the Owls at the racquet center in Princeton's Meadows Neighborhood.
Alice Ferlito had a win in both matches and Bella Chhiv had a win against Penn State to account for the Tigers' two points in the day's opener, but Penn State got the doubles point and had wins at third, fifth and sixth singles to get to four points and take the match 4-2.
Against Temple, Princeton won the doubles point on victories from Tsehay Driscoll and Yichen Zhao at second and Ferlito and Chhiv at third, and added wins from Ferlito at first singles and Driscoll at sixth to finish the 4-0 win.
The Tigers will head for a spring trip to Houston and New Orleans beginning with a March 10 match at Rice before a March 13 match at Tulane and staying in New Orleans for a neutral-site match with Wichita State on March 15.
