Women's Basketball Has Four Named All-Ivy; Chea Unanimous First-Team Selection

PRINCETON – The Princeton Women's Basketball Team had four members named All-Ivy, the league announced today.
Ashley Chea was selected unanimously First-Team All-Ivy while Skye Belker and Fadima Tall were honored as second-team selections. Parker Hill corralled Honorable Mention All-Ivy and Academic All-Ivy.
After being one of the top players off the bench last season, Chea has made the transition into the starting lineup seamlessly. Chea has set career highs in almost every statistical category as she averaged 12.4 points, 3.6 assists, 3.3 rebounds. The sophomore is second in the Ivy League in three-point field goal percentage (36.2), third in three-pointers per game (2.0), fifth in assists per game and sixth in assist/turnover ratio (1.45). Chea earned two Ivy Player of the Week honors highlighted by a 25-point game on 10-of-15 shooting vs. Penn.
Belker also saw a massive jump in most statistical categories, averaging 12.8 points. 3.0 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game. She also saw an improvement in shooting (45.7) and three-point field goal percentage (37.1 percent). Belker is fifth in the Ivy League in assist/turnover ratio (1.47). The sophomore was a consistent scorer producing 18 double-digit performances including 24 points at Utah and a career-high 25 points at Dartmouth.
After playing in just 15 games last year, Tall has made another impressive transition as a starter, setting personal highs in scoring (10.3), rebounding (6.3), assists (2.2), steals (1.4) and three-point field goal percentage (40.5). The sophomore was also fourth in the conference in free-throw percentage (79.8). Tall dropped in three double-doubles this season including an impressive 20-point, 10-rebound outing at Penn.
Hill had a banner campaign as she set new career highs in scoring (7.4), field goal percentage (63.2 percent), rebounding (4.5), assists (2.3) while matching her personal best in blocks (24). The senior had six double figure performances highlighted by a 20-point, 12-rebound contest at Cornell.
The Tigers will be the No. 2 seed in next week's Ivy League Tournament against No. 3 seeded Harvard on Friday at 7:30 p.m. No. 1 seeded Columbia will battle No. 4 seeded Penn at 4:30 p.m. The Ivy Tournament Championship game will be Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
