Women's Basketball Drops 68-63 Decision to Iowa State In NCAA Tournament

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Princeton Women's Basketball Team dropped a 68-63 decision to the Iowa State Cyclones in the First Four contest of the NCAA Tournament.
Even at 9-all, Iowa State ran off nine consecutive points and eventually led 18-11 after 10 minutes.
Princeton used a 14-0 run to end the second quarter to take a 38-25 advantage at the break. During that stretch, head coach Carla Berube's squad made the Cyclones go 0-of-5 from the floor while Ashley Chea registered eight of her 15 points.
Iowa State ripped off an 18-2 sprint to retake the lead, 43-42, with 3:25 to go in the third frame. The Cyclones led 52-47 after 30 minutes of action.
The Tigers got within five four times in the fourth stanza before Skye Belker's trey made it a 64-60 deficit with 2:31 left. Iowa State had an answer for each Princeton shot as the Tigers couldn't get within a single possession, falling 68-63.
In her final collegiate game, Parker Hill posted a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds which matched a career high. Fadima Tall led the Tigers with 19 points, adding seven boards, four assists, two steals and a block. Chea (15) and Belker (11) also registered double figures in the loss.
Audi Crooks had a game-high 27 points while Addy Brown dropped in 22 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Iowa State.
With the loss, the careers of Hill, Katie Thiers, Amelia Osgood, Adaora Nwokeji and Paige Morton come to an end. That group finished with 95 wins, (a .798 winning percentage), three Ivy League titles, three Ivy League Tournament titles and two NCAA wins.
