Huge Weekend Earns Ford Ivy League Player of the Week Honors

Karis Ford's eye and her swing were on point over the weekend, and the Ivy League's coaches have recognized her as the Ivy League Player of the Week.

Ford hit .750 over the weekend, going 3 for 4 while drawing six walks for an on-base percentage of .818. Ford a three-run home run in the first inning in each of the first two games of the weekend, including getting the first hit and home run at Cynthia Lynn Paul '94 Field, on the way to slugging 2.250 for the weekend. Along with six RBI from the two homers, Ford's eight RBI on the weekend included what became the game-winning sacrifice fly in Sunday's 9-8 win to complete the series sweep of Harvard.

For the season, Ford, a sophomore, is hitting .458 and has already matched her 2024 home run total with five this season, slugging .833 so far in 2025. Her 14 walks have already bettered her 10 from last season, helping her reach an on-base percentage of .571.

Ford and the Tigers will host Yale this weekend as the Ivy League season continues.
