PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton wrestling team will compete in the inaugural Ivy League Wrestling Tournament as it comes to Jadwin Gym tomorrow, March 9.

The first round will begin at 10 a.m., with semifinals at noon and the finals beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Top-Seeded Tigers
Princeton is one of just two schools to have two first-seeded wrestlers in this year's Ivy tournament, along with Penn. Marc-Anthony McGowan (125) and Luke Stout (197) each picked up the top seed in their respective brackets.

A New Tournament
Over a year in the making, the Ivy League announced the creation of the Ivy League Wrestling Tournament in December 2023 - the league's 19th postseason championship event. Prior to the creation of the tournament, the Ivy League schools competed in the EIWA Championships - seeking automatic NCAA berths in a field of 17 teams across two days. This year's tournament will feature all six Ivy wrestling programs in a two-mat, one day event.

The Road to Philly Runs Through Princeton
With 26 allocations on the line, Princeton will host the inaugural Ivy Tournament in historic Jadwin Gym as wrestlers punch their tickets to the NCAA Championships in Philadelphia. The Ivy League has the fourth-most allocations of any conference. The NCAA Championships will take place March 20-22 at the Wells Fargo Center.
