No. 30 Men’s Tennis Falls To No. 39 Cornell
April 11, 2025 | Men's Tennis
ITHACA, N.Y.- The Princeton men's tennis team hit the road for a Friday afternoon matchup against the Cornell Big Red. The Tigers were unable to battle back after dropping the doubles point as they fell to the Big Red 5-2.
"We knew this would be a tough match on the road but I'm disappointed we didn't execute better in doubles," head coach Billy Pate said. "Nonetheless, we won four first sets in singles and put ourselves in a position to gain control. Cornell played very well in turning two of the singles matches and defending their home turf. There's no time to hang our heads as we have a great opportunity on Sunday versus Columbia in our last home match of the year. We'll learn from today, regroup, and be at our best on Sunday."
