No. 30 Men’s Tennis Drops Final Home Contest To No. 10 Columbia
April 13, 2025 | Men's Tennis
PRINCETON, N.J.- The Princeton men's tennis team hosted the No. 10 Columbia Lions in the final home match of the 2025 season.
The Tigers were unable to secure the doubles point and the Lions later clinched the match by a score of 4-0.
Princeton worked to a 10-2 home record with the two losses coming against two top-20 teams in the Lions and the then-ranked No. 19 NC State Wolfpack.
"Columbia played a good match and we didn't do enough to give ourselves the momentum we needed," head coach Billy Pate said. "We started making a push in singles and had a pathway, but we put ourselves in a position where we needed to be perfect. We talk about momentum changing points so frequently and it's something against strong teams you must execute. We'll rebound from this with a good week of practice and be ready to go next weekend."
