LEWISBURG, Pa. – The No. 10 Princeton Women's Water Polo Team clinched the No. 1 seed in the CWPA Tournament with a 14-8 victory over the Bucknell Bison at the Kinney Natatorium on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers clinched the No. 1 seed based on their +3-goal differential against Harvard in their two meetings.
After Bucknell started the scoring, Princeton ripped off five consecutive tallies and led 6-2 after eight minutes. Head coach Derek Ellingson's group scored the first two goals of the second quarter and led 9-3 at halftime.
The Bison made one more push, recording three straight to get within four, 10-6, with 23 seconds to go in the third frame, but Lindsey Lucas came out of the cage and scored as time expired. Bucknell never threatened again.

Princeton will take on No. 18 Wagner on Wednesday at DeNuznio Pool.
