Women's Golf Leads After Day One At Ivy League Championship

Princeton sits in front after the first round of the 2025 Ivy League Championship at Royal Palm Golf Club in Naples, Fla. on the strength of four players inside the top-10 and five inside the top-20.
Abra Richmond, Olivia Duan and Victoria Liu are all tied for fifth at even par after shooting rounds of 72 to open the tournament. Catherine Rao is one stroke back at +1 after an opening-round 73. Flora Zhang shot a 76 (+4) to begin the tournament.
Their work has the Tigers +1 as a team after Friday's play, three strokes ahead of Penn and Columbia who are tied for second at +4.
Harvard's Vanessa Zhang leads the individual race at -4, two shots clear of Columbia's Christine Chang who is second.
Richmond had five birdies and five bogeys in her round, getting to -3 at one point. Duan had four birdies and four bogeys, at one point sitting at -2 for the day. Liu was +3 through 15 holes, but birdied 16 and then eagled the last to get back to even.
Rao had three birdies of her own and was -2 through 11 holes.
The Tigers begin round two at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
