Women's Lacrosse Falls To Yale In Ivy Final

The 2025 Ivy League Tournament final was decided in the middle two quarters as second-seeded Yale outscored top-seeded Princeton, 9-2, in the second and third periods to turn a one-goal game into a 12-4 Yale lead through three quarters en route to a 17-6 Bulldogs win.
Sky Carrasquillo had six goals, while Jenna Collignon had five goals and eight draw controls to lead Yale. Overall, the Bulldogs had a 17-8 edge on the draw circle to flip the possession count in their favor.
McKenzie Blake had two goals for the Tigers, while Haven Dora had two assists.
The Tigers never led in the game, falling behind by a 2-0 score early in the first quarter before goals from Blake and Sophie Whiteway tied the game 2-2 with 5:34 to play in the first quarter,.
Princeton did not get back on the scoreboard for the next 20:22 of game play, allowing Yale to score the next six goals and break the game open to the tune of an 8-2 lead before Jami MacDonald scored with 0:12 to play in the second quarter.
Nina Montes opened the second half with a free position goal 4:23 in to cut the deficit to 8-4, but Yale countered with a 7-0 run to close the third period and open the fourth and put the game out of reach.
The Tigers drop to 14-3 overall and await their NCAA Tournament selection. The 2025 NCAA Selection Special is set for 9 p.m. on May 4 on ESPNU.
