Women's Golf Remains In Eighth Place After 36 Holes At NCAA Regionals

Princeton entered the second round of the 2025 NCAA Charlottesville Reginal tied with Central Florida for eighth place, and that is where the Tigers ended the round as both Princeton and UCF shot +9 in the middle round.
All 12 teams were over par during the second round as Birdwood Golf Club tested the field all day long. Princeton's team round of +9 was tied for the seventh-best round of any team in the field alongside UCF.
The top five teams will advance to the NCAA Championship, entering the third and final round that position belongs to host Virginia who is +6 s a team -- five shots ahead of N.C. State, 15 ahead of Bringham Young, and 17 ahead of Princeton and Central Florida.
Individually, four of Princeton's five golfers improved their score from the first round to the second.
Olivia Duan shot even par in the second round, carding two biridies en route to a 71 to move up five spots to 13th place.
Catherine Rao improved eight spots individually after a 72 (+1) which featured four birdies.
Abra Richmond was four shots better in round two, carding a 73 (+2) to move up 12 spots and into 36th place.
In addition to the five teams who automatically advance to the NCAA Championsip, one spot is up for grabs for the highest-finishing individual not on one of the five teams to advance.
Through two rounds, N.C. State's Marie Madsen owns that transfer spot at -2. Duan and Rao are part of a group of eight golfers within five shots of Madsen entering the final round.
