Women's Golf Finishes 9th At NCAA Regionals

Princeton concluded its 2024-25 women's golf season with a ninth place finish at the NCAA Charlottesville Regional as the Tigers capped a season that included an Ivy League championship with its second-best team finish at a NCAA Regional in program history.
The Tigers, who entered the Regional seeded No. 10, were +40 as a group to finish one spot better than their seed. South Carolina won the regional with a team score of -2, joined by Ole Miss (+9), Virginia (+12), Florida (+12) and UCLA (+17) in advancing to the NCAA Championship.
2025 Ivy League Player of the Year Catherine Rao was the top finisher for the Tigers, tying for the No. 9 spot at +2 overall. Her final round 70 (-1) was the fourth-best round of any player on the final day as she jumped 14 spots up the leaderboard to secure a Top-10 finish seven shots behind N.C. State's Marie Madsen who was the Regional champion at -5 and secured the lone individual qualification berth to the NCAA Championship as the highest-finishing individual not on one of the five teams to advance.
Rao had two birdies and one bogey in the final round, notching pars on the remaining 15 holes. For the week, Rao was tied for most birdies by a player in the field with 12.
Olivia Duan finished tied for 13th at +3 overall to conclude her first collegiate season that included Ivy League Rookie of the Year honors. Duan was consistent throughout the tournament, leading the field in pars with 42 over her 54 holes of play.
