24 From Heavyweight Rowing Honored As Empacher-IRCA Scholar Athletes

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA) announced its 2025 Empacher-IRCA Scholar Athletes Wednesday afternoon and 24 members of the Princeton University heavyweight rowing team were featured.

Alex Kawaja, Sam Kleiner, Patrick O'Connell, Jake Simon, Josh Cigoianu, Luke Krongard, Josh Yin, Oscar Patton, Carson Repins, Nic McAdam, Joseph Cutaia, Arun Iyer, David Albrechtskirchinger, Trygve Bye Loken, Zach Vachal, Raphael Vogeley, John Dreiband, Kian Aminian, Emmett Infante, Liam Foldi, Owen Rulyak, Caleb Rosenfeld, Theo Bell and Sid Shah were the Tigers' included on the IRCA's list.
In order to be named a Scholar Athlete, rowers and coxswains must be in their second year or more of eligibility, must have competed in their program's top three boats during the current season or raced at the 2025 Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Championship in addition to having at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA through fall semester.
