Smith & Gorman Head To NHL Development Camps
June 30, 2025 | Men's Ice Hockey
A pair of Princeton men's hockey players are headed to NHL Development Camps this week as Brendan Gorman (Florida Panthers) and Arthur Smith (Tampa Bay Lightning) make their way to the Sunshine State for a chance to showcase their skills in front of NHL front offices.
Gorman is making his third trip to a NHL Development Camp following invitations from Vegas (2023) and San Jose (2024). Smith will also be making his third appearance at a Development Camp after spending time with Tampa Bay (2022) and Philadelphia (2024).
A third-team All-ECAC selection at the end of the 2024-25 season, Gorman was also named first-team All-Ivy last season. He set career highs in goals (12), points (26), game-winning goals (3), power-play goals (2) and short-handed goals (2) in 30 games for the Tigers last season. Over 89 career games for the Tigers, Gorman has tallied 23 goals and 46 assists for 69 points which ranks him No. 45 all-time in Princeton scoring with one season remaining in his career.
Gorman will be on the ice with the Panthers from June 30-July 3.
Smith, who was honorable mention All-Ivy in 2023-24 as a freshman, has a 2.98 GAA over 35 career games played and is 12-14-3 with two shutouts.
Smith and the Lightning will skate July 1-4.
