Women's Rowing Has Two Collect Medals At U-23 World Championships

PRINCETON – The Princeton Women's Rowing Team had two members collect medals at the U-23 World Rowing Championships.
Olivia Cheesmur '29 and the Great Britain four easily took home the gold at 6:30.43, 2.7 seconds in front of Germany (6:33.15). Poland was third at 6:33.15.
Joely Cherniss and the United States eight won silver on Sunday, collecting a 6:16.28, only trailing Great Britain (6:13.6). Michaela Ulicna '29 and the Czech Republic eight were sixth at 6:25.47.
Ellie Smith and the U.S four crossed the line fifth in their Grand Final (6:35.63) as Great Britain (6:29.1), Romania (6:32.25) and New Zealand (6:33.85) earned medals.
Phaedra van der Molen and her teammate Jente Jongsma corralled fifth overall (6:57.57) in the Double Sculls Grand Final behind Greece (6:51.63), Poland (6:52.55), Germany (6:53.51) and Romania (6:55.34).
