Women's Golf Opens 2025-26 At Inverness Intercollegiate

It's time to tee off the 2025-26 season as Princeton heads to Toledo for the Inverness Intercollegiate hosted at Inverness Club.
The 2025 Ivy League champions return four of their five starters from the group who competed at last season's NCAA Regionals, including Ivy League Player of the Year Catherine Rao and Ivy League Rookie of the Year Olivia Duan. They are joined by Caiyi Flora Zhang and Abra Richmond as returning players with a plethora of collegiate experience. They will be joined by a three-woman recruiting class that was ranked No. 6 in the country.
The first test for the Tigers in 2025-26 will be against a quality field in the Inverness Intercollegiate. In addition to the Tigers and host Toledo, other teams in the field include Coastal Carolina, Florida, FGCU, Illinois State, Middle Tennessee, Notre Dame, North Carolina State, Ohio State, South Alabama and TCU.
Florida and Ohio State reached the NCAA Championship last season, while FGCU, Illinois State, N.C. State and TCU were NCAA Regional qualifiers in addition to Princeton.
Florida enters the season ranked No. 13 in the Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll, while Ohio State is No. 15 and TCU is No. 25.
The Inverness Club was founded in 1903 and along with the University of Toledo served as host for the 2009 NCAA Men's Golf Championships. Inverness will host the 2027 U.S. Women's Open and the 2029 U.S. Amateur. It hosted the 2021 Solheim Cup and has also hosted four U.S. Opens, two U.S. Senior Opens, two PGA Championships and one U..S Amateur and one U.S. Junior Amateur.
