The opening of the 2026 Princeton women's tennis dual match season will arrive one day earlier than originally scheduled and against a different opponent.
Due to the coming snowstorm in Central New Jersey, Princeton's match against James Madison at the Si Quin Family Indoor Tennis Center has been moved from Sunday to Friday, with the start time now 10 am. Princeton will finish the weekend with a home match against Rutgers Saturday as scheduled, though the start time has been moved up to noon.
James Madison opened its dual match season last weekend a little further on the road, as the Dukes split a pair of matches in Nebraska, with a 5-2 loss to the host Cornhuskers and then a 6-1 win over Omaha. Rutgers is opening its dual match season this weekend as well and will not be playing Friday.
Princeton and James Madison have never met. Princeton leads the series against Rutgers 42-2.
