No. 15 Women's Water Polo Disposes Mt. St. Mary's, 17-7

PRINCETON – The No. 15 Princeton Women's Water Polo Team opened up the Princeton Invitational with a 17-7 victory over the Mt. St. Mary's Mountaineers at DeNunzio Pool.

The Tigers started off with the first seven goals of the game and held the Mountaineers without a goal for the first 11:35 of game action. Head coach Derek Ellingson's group led 8-2 at halftime.

Princeton wasn't threatened in the second half, leading by seven after three quarters before taking down a 10-goal decision.

Shanna Davidson matched her career high with five goals to pace the offense while Olivia Krotts added four tallies. Didi Evans had six points with two goals and four dimes in the win.

Princeton continues its invitational with Santa Clara (12 p.m.) and No. 22 Marist (7:30 p.m.) Saturday.
