Thanks largely to Pru Lindsey, the Princeton field hockey team is now dialed in on looking ahead this season. Still, it's worth looking back one more time before the new challenges begin.
Lindsey has added the NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week to her earlier Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week award after she played an indispensable role in two Princeton wins last weekend. She had a goal and assist in a 4-0 Ivy League win over Dartmouth Friday and then followed that by making two huge plays in the 2-1 win over then-No. 1 Northwestern, tying the game on a penalty stroke with 1:13 remaining in regulation and then making a perfect cross-cage feed that Ella Cashman tapped in for the winner in overtime.
Lindsey leads Princeton with six goals and 15 points through 12 games. Princeton has won four straight, improving to 8-4 overall and 3-1 in the Ivy League as the team prepares for Friday's game at Cornell, who is also 3-1 in the league.
