No. 10 Princeton Dominates Dartmouth 4-0, Looks Ahead To NCAA Final Rematch With No. 1 Northwestern

Box Score

It was fairly obvious early on that the field was tilted in favor of No. 10 Princeton against Dartmouth on Bedford Field Friday afternoon. It did take longer for the Tigers to have the scoreboard tilt in their favor.

After Princeton's first 12 shots missed the back of the cage, Nos. 13 and 14 did, courtesy of Lilly Cimaroli and Pru Lindsey, in a span of 1:14 late in the second quarter. In the end Princeton outshot Dartmouth 27-0 en route to a dominant 4-0 win.

With that victory achieved, Princeton could look ahead to Sunday's home game against No. 1 Northwestern, a 2-1 win over Iowa at home Friday. Princeton and Northwestern met last November in the 2025 NCAA championship game, won in the second overtime by the Wildcats.

If Princeton was looking ahead, it didn't show. Even as shot after shot either went wide or was turned aside by Big Green goalie Kylie McKinley (who finished with 13 saves), Princeton kept up the pressure, not allowing Dartmouth to get the ball into the circle. It was only a matter of time until the Tigers scored. The breakthrough came courtesy of Cimaroli, who had the first of her career off a cross from Lindsey, who then cashed in herself on a corner.

The lead became 3-0 when Molly Nye finished off Caitlin Thompson's cross, and Reese Milone also had the first goal of her career after dribbling into the circle and finishing in the fourth.

Princeton improved to 7-4 and 3-1 in the Ivy League, while Dartmouth fell to 3-7 and 1-3.

Northwestern will come to Bedford Field having won 40 of its last 41, with only a 3-2 loss to Princeton in the regular season a year ago in Evanston.
