No. 15 Women's Water Polo Finishes Princeton Invitational With 5-0 Mark

PRINCETON – The No. 15 Princeton Women's Water Polo Team finished off the Princeton Invitational with a 5-0 record after two more victories on Sunday at DeNunzio Pool.
No. 15 Princeton 12, Siena 8
After the two teams exchanged four goals, Shanna Davidson and Ava Houlahan put Princeton ahead 4-2 after eight minutes of action.
Siena rallied to the game at 5-all with 1:47 to go, but Olivia Krotts scored twice in 26 seconds as the clock was running out to give the Tigers a 7-5 halftime advantage.
Goals from Didi Evans and Houlahan opened the second half, but Siena countered with two of its own to close to gap to two, 9-7, with 7:10 left. Princeton put the game away with three straight tallies from Evans, Davidson and Kendall Wyer.
Krotts, Houlahan and Evans each recorded hat tricks in the victory.

After Wagner began the game with three of the first four goals, tallies from Krotts and Evansb(at the end of the first quarter buzzer) tied the contest at 3-all.
Both teams exchanged two goal rallies, making the game even at 5-all at halftime. The home team started the second half with a 3-0 run and led 9-6 as the fourth quarter started.
The Tigers ripped off three consecutive goals in the first 2:35 of the fourth fame before the Seahawks made one more push. Wagner corralled a 4-0 sprint closing the gap to two, 12-10, with 42 seconds, but could not get closer.
Princeton heads to the Villanova Invitational next Saturday (Feb. 8) to take on Cal Baptist (9:45 a.m.) and Gannon (4 p.m.)
