A weekend that was supposed to have four matches is down to three and started with two wins.
The 19th-ranked Princeton men's tennis team swept a pair of Saturday opponents at the Si Qin Family Indoor Tennis Center, taking down Buffalo 7-0 in the first match of the day and then coming back two hours later to defeat No. 64 Penn State 6-1.
Princeton was supposed to host two more matches Sunday, but the coming storm has forced the cancellation of the second match of the day, against Lehigh. Instead, Princeton will only play once Sunday, against Georgetown at 10 am.
Top Nidunjianzan and Aleksandar Mitric both had long, but very successful, days, each going 4-0 between their singles and doubles matches. Nidunjianzan won twice at No. 2 singles, including going to a third-set tiebreaker against Buffalo, while winning both of his doubles matches with Meecah Bigun, 6-1 against Buffalo and 6-2 against Penn State.
Mitric, at No. 5 singles, won twice in straight sets while winning his doubles matches with Sebastian Sec, both by 6-1 counts.
