St. Rose's Career-High 30 Points Paces Women's Basketball Over Brown, 69-37

PRINCETON – A career-high 30 points from Madison St. Rose led the Princeton Women's Basketball Team over the Brown Bears, 69-37, at Jadwin Gym on Saturday night.
The Tigers ended the first quarter with six straight points to go up, 16-10.
After a triple from Brown, Princeton scored eight of 11 to jump ahead, 24-16, with 5:52 remaining in the first half.
Carla Berube's unit ended the second frame with seven consecutive points, turning a six-point advantage to a 31-18 halftime lead.
St. Rose scored 12 of her 30 points in the first 20 minutes, knocking down eight from the charity stripe to pace the Tigers.
Princeton led by as many as 18 in the third stanza before holding a 46-33 advantage as the fourth quarter started. The home team put the game away by going off on a 16-2 run to go up 27, 62-35, with 4:17 left in the game. Brown never threatened the rest of the way.
St. Rose did not miss in the fourth stanza, scoring 13 points on 5-of-5 shooting including two triples. The Tigers held the Bears to one basket during that stretch, outpacing them 23-4.
St. Rose became the first Tiger since Kaitlyn Chen in 2023 to record 30 points in a game, going 9-of-15 from the floor. Fadima Tall had a double-double with 11 points, 13 rebounds along with five steals.
With the win, Princeton improves to 21-3 overall and 9-2 in the Ivy League while Brown dropped to 15-8 and 7-4 in the conference. The Tigers also clinched a spot in Ivy Madness with the victory. Berube's squad heads on the road next week to take on Dartmouth (Feb. 27) and Harvard (Feb. 28).
