No. 20 Men's Swimming & Diving Continues to Lead at Ivy League Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. - The No. 20 Princeton men's swimming & diving team continues to ride first place with 952 points at the conclusion of day three of the Ivy League Championships.
In the 200 yard freestyle, Jack Tarara placed sixth with 13 points in the B final. The Tigers made some noise in the A final with Mitchell Schott placing first with 32 points and earning Ivy Champion, for a second consecutive time! This marks Schott's third title this weekend. Patrick Dinu followed in second with 28 points, while Parker Lenoce placed sixth with 24 points.
Cole Kawaja and Santiago Gutierrez worked for some points for the Tigers in the 1000 yard freestyle. Kawaja placed sixth with 23 points, while Gutierrez placed eighth with 17 points.
Lucas Tudoras picked up 16 while placing third in the 100 yard butterfly B final. In the A final, Logan Noguchi placed third, earning 27 points, while Alex Townsend followed in fourth with 26 points. Conor McKenna placed eighth with 22 points.
Jiarui Xue placed fifth in the C final of the 400 yard individual medley, earning four points. In the B final, John Rusnock placed fourth with 15 points. The A final ended with Arthur Balva placing fifth with 25 points, while Jack Haley placed eighth with 22 points.
Parker Lenoce and Yanning Zhang picked up some more points for Princeton in the 100 yard backstroke. Zhang placed seventh earning 23 points, while Lenoce trailed in eighth with 22 points.
The Tigers ended the night placing fourth in the 400 medley relay. The quartet of Zhang, Rusnock, Noguchi and Schott , earned Princeton 52 points.
Competition continues tomorrow for the final day with prelims beginning at 11:00 AM, followed by finals at 6:00 PM.
