For the fifth time in her career, Amelia Hughes has been named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week after a 25-save effort over two games against ranked opponents for the Tigers last week,
Hughes made 15 saves in a 12-10 loss at No. 21 Virginia on Wednesday before following up with a 10-stop outing in a 14-11 win at No. 18 Penn State on Sunday. For the week, she boasted a .520 save percentage.
Through six games this season, Hughes leads all NCAA Division I keepers with 12.0 saves-per-game and her 72 saves lead the Ivy League while sitting No. 16 in the country.Â
