Lehigh Gets Past Softball Team, 2-1
April 01, 2026 | Softball
A run in the first inning and a run in the final inning helped lift Lehigh past the Princeton softball team 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon in Bethlehem, Pa.
A pair of singles with a stolen base in between pushed the first-inning run across for Lehigh, but Princeton answered in the second on a solo home run from Jessica Phelps to even the game at 1-1.Â
Keala Hollenkamp, Reece Uehara and Cassidy Shaw split the time in the circle, with Uehara tossing 3 2/3 innings of shutout relief and allowing just two hits with four strikeouts.Â
Lehigh broke through in the seventh, using a leadoff walk and a sacrifice bunt to set up the go-ahead RBI single from Kelly Fricker.
The Tigers (16-10) return home this weekend to host Brown, beginning with a single game on Friday at 4 p.m. Saturday's doubleheader is set for 12:30 p.m.
