Abigail Roberts Named Ivy League Defensive Player Of The Week
April 06, 2026 | Women's Lacrosse
Our No. 1 was deemed No. 1 in the Ivy League last week as Abigail Roberts has been named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
Roberts had a standout performance over two games, tallying 10 ground balls, six caused turnovers and six draw controls for the Tigers this past week.
After winning four draws while causing two turnovers and picking up three ground balls on Wednesday in a tight 10-8 loss to No. 12 Stony Brook, Roberts was a disruptive force in Princeton's 14-12 win over Cornell in Ivy play/
She had seven ground balls against the Big Red, while also causing four turnovers and winning two draw controls. For good measure, she added an assist following a caused turnover and ground ball she executed in her own end before sprinting through the midfield in transition to spring Jami MacDonalf for a breakaway goal.
Roberts and the Tigers host Penn on ESPNU Wednesday night in a crucial Ivy game. Opening draw with the Quakers is set for 7 p.m. at Sherrerd Field.
