Nine Players, Coaching Staff Earn All-Ivy League Softball Honors

A league-best nine All-Ivy League honorees came Princeton's way, including a league-best four on each of the first and second teams, when the annual league honors were announced on Wednesday.
The Tigers, winners of five straight Ivy titles, will host the Ivy League Tournament beginning Thursday.
Here's a look at Princeton's honorees:
Coaching Staff of the Year
Princeton earns the Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year honor for the fifth straight year and the seventh time in the 10 seasons the award has been given since 2015. The award was the Coach of the Year from 2015-24, with Lisa Van Ackeren winning in 2016, 2017, 2022, 2023 and 2024, before being renamed the Coaching Staff of the Year in 2025 and going to Princeton both last year and again this year. The staff helped the team to an 18-3 Ivy record, tying the league record for Ivy wins in a season.Â
First-Team All-Ivy League
Cassidy Shaw, Jr., P
Shaw, a unanimous first-team pick, earns All-Ivy League recognition for the second straight year after being a second-teamer in 2025. In Ivy games this season, Shaw had a 1.90 ERA, second-best in the league, while leading the league with 10 wins, standing third in opponents' batting average (.225), fourth in innings pitched (59.0), fourth in strikeouts (43), third in strikeouts looking (18), second in fewest runs allowed (18), second in fewest earned runs allowed (16), tied for fifth in fewest homers allowed (three), tied for sixth in fewest walks allowed (15), and tied for eighth in fewest triples allowed (two).Â
Graciela Dominguez, Jr., 2B
Dominguez, a unanimous first-team pick, earns All-Ivy League honors for the second straight year after receiving honorable mention in 2025. Dominguez's .455 Ivy batting average was third in the league, as was her .548 on-base percentage. Her OPS of 1.230 was fifth, her nine doubles co-led the league, her 30 hits were tied for fifth, her 19 runs were tied for seventh, her 15 walks were tied for sixth, and her .682 slugging percentage was 10th.
Sonia Zhang, Jr., 3B
Zhang earns first-team All-Ivy honors for the third time in as many seasons at Princeton. She co-led the league in Ivy games in runs scored (24), tied for second in triples (three), was third in at-bats (78), tied for sixth in stolen bases (five), and tied for ninth in hits (27).
Karis Ford, Jr., DP
Ford is a first-team All-Ivy pick for the second straight year. In Ivy games, Ford was fourth in the league in on-base percentage (.513), seventh in batting average (.419), seventh in OPS (1.223), eighth in slugging percentage (.710), and tied for fourth in triples (four).Â
Second-Team All-Ivy League
Maddie Ratcheson, Fr., C
Ratcheson earns second-team all-league honors in her first season at Princeton. Ratcheson was 10th in the league in batting average in Ivy games (.406) and earned the last two Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors of the regular season and three Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors on the season overall.Â
Julia Dumais, Sr., SS
Dumais closes her Tiger career with All-Ivy honors in all four seasons, debuting with a second-team honor in 2023 before earning a spot on the first team in each of her final three seasons. In Ivy games, Dumais tied for eighth in the league with 20 RBI, led the league in times hit by a pitch (seven) and tied for fourth with two triples. On the season overall, Dumais hit .397, good for second on the team.
Abby Hornberger, Sr., OF
Hornberger earns her first All-Ivy League honor with the second-team nod. Hornberger's .421 batting average in Ivy games was sixth-best in the league, and her 36 hits this season are a career high and have exceeded her career total of 28 entering the season.
Mia Valenzuela, Fr., OF
Valenzuela debuts as a second-team All-Ivy honoree. She tied for third in the league with six stolen bases in Ivy games, and her .374 batting average on the season overall was good for fourth on the team.
Honorable Mention All-Ivy League
Juileta Roa, So., OF
Roa earns her first All-Ivy League honor, tying for third in the league with six stolen bases in Ivy games. Roa's second season with the program has been a breakout one, with 38 of her 39 career hits coming this year as she carries a .330 season average into the Ivy League Tournament.
Academic All-Ivy League
Sonia Zhang, Jr.
Zhang, a student in the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, is the team's Academic All-Ivy League honoree, an honor given to one junior or senior per team in recognition of a combination of academics and athletic performance.
