Matt Smith Honored as EARC Coach of the Year

PRINCETON, N.J. – Princeton University men's lightweight rowing Head Coach Matt Smith was recently honored as the Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges (EARC) Coach of the Year.
The postseason award is the second for Smith, who was also named Ivy League Coach of the Year after his first season as head coach of the Tigers.
Smith guided Princeton to the program's 17th Jope Cup victory for highest team point total at Eastern Sprints, along with a gold medal for the 3V and silver for the 1V and 2V.
In addition, he led the Tigers to a second-place finish at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships. The 1V collected silver and the 2V bronze.
