Rashad Caldwell Nominated For AllState AFCA Good Works Team

PRINCETON – Rashad Caldwell has been named the Princeton Football nominee for the AllState AFCA Good Works Team.
The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team recognizes college football student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional commitment to community service, academics and athletics. Established in 1992 and presented by Allstate since 2008, the program honors players who use their platforms to strengthen communities and support causes important to them.
Caldwell served as a David K. Rose '88 Civic Service Coordinator, dedicating six weeks during the summer to full-time community engagement in Trenton, New Jersey. In this leadership role, Caldwell partnered with local nonprofit organizations focused on youth development, community wellness, and family support. He would also work with Beauty To The Block, a Trenton-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting youth, women, and families through mentorship, hygiene education, community outreach, and wellness programming.
The senior partnered with Team Chizel, a wellness and fitness organization focused on empowering individuals through health education, nutrition, and strength training. He assisted in developing workout plans and wellness programming aimed at building physical, mental, and emotional resilience among community members.
Caldwell served as a student-athlete representative for Tiger Brigade, a Princeton Athletics initiative that introduces youth groups to the collegiate experience through athletics. The Tiger engaged directly with participants, shared his experiences as a Princeton student-athlete, and helped create opportunities for youth to explore higher education and college athletics.
The wide receiver supported the Perfect City initiative through a collaboration between Princeton Athletics, the Pace Center, and Professor Aaron Landsman. Caldwell worked with middle school students from the Christina Seix Academy alongside Princeton University students in a community-engaged learning program focused on civic participation, urban development, and social responsibility.
The 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team will be announced in September and include 22 student-athletes and one honorary head coach. One student-athlete will also be selected as team captain and receive the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy.
A selection panel composed of former Good Works Team members, college football coaches, journalists and other leaders connected to the award reviews nominations from across the country. Voters evaluate candidates based on the breadth and depth of their community service, demonstrated leadership, academic achievement and the measurable impact they have had on the people and causes they serve. The panel then selects 11 NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision players (FBS), 11 players from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), Divisions II, III and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) ranks, and one honorary head coach.
