Defending Champion Princeton Picked First In Ivy League Preseason Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – The defending Ivy League Champion Princeton men's soccer team was picked first in the Ivy League Preseason Poll, announced Monday.

With 14 first place votes and a total of 123 points, the Tigers topped the poll after a 2025 season that saw them claim the Ivy League regular season and Ivy League Tournament titles.

Princeton finished 7-0-0 in the Ivy League and 15-2-2 overall last season, conceding zero goals in conference play before claiming a third-seed spot to the NCAA Tournament in November.

The 2026 Tigers return key players including Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year Andrew Samuels (GK), First Team All-Ivy honoree Bardia Hormozi, Second Team All-Ivy honorees Roka Tsunehara and Liam Beckwith, and All-Ivy Honorable Mention Dash Papez.

Princeton was ranked eighth in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll.
