Sarah Hutchison appeared in all 29 games for the Tigers in her senior season and contributed 14 goals, nine assists, 18 steals and drew 15 ejections. Hutchison tied for sixth on the team in goals scored and her 46.7% shooting percentage was tops on the team. Hutchison tallied a season high of four goals in Princeton's win over George Washington at the Eastern Championships and she collected two goals in a win over GW during the regular season. She added single goals in eight other games, including wins over Brown, Wagner, Bucknell and St. Francis. Hutchison added a pair of two assists games, tallying two helpers in wins over GW and Sonoma State. She also had two three-steal games in a loss to Michigan and a win over GW.
Hutchison played in 24 games as a junior, scoring 10 goals and adding five assists and nine steals. Hutchison posted back-to-back two-goal games against Hartick and Harvard at the Elite Invitational and added a fifth goal in the last of the three games at the event. She finished the tournament with five goals and three steals and earned Southern Player of the Week honors for her performance. Hutchison also added added two goals in a win over Wagner, and scored a single goal against each of Princeton's three Southern Division opponents, including a goal, two assists and two steals in a loss at Bucknell.
Hutchison was a member of the CWPA Scholar-Athlete Team as a sophomore. During the season, she scored 13 goals and added seven assists and 22 steals for the Tigers. She had a season-high two goals in a win over Colorado State and scored single goals on 11 other occasions. She had three assists and two steals in the Tigers' season-opening win over Mercyhurst. She also added a goal and two steals in wins over Harvard and George Washington, and tallied a goal and an assist in a win against Brown. Hutchison scored goals in both the semifinal and championship game of the Southern Championships.
Hutchison scored 21 goals as a freshman after appearing in 30 games. Hutchison scored twice in Princeton’s season opener against Siena, and she recorded six more two-goal games, coming against Wagner, St. Francis, Brown, George Washington, Bucknell and Maryland. Hutchison also added seven assists and 29 steals, including four steals in a win over Marist.
Hutchinson was a member of the CIF Division II champion teams in 2004, 2005, and 2006 at Corona del Mar. In her junior year, she was selected to the All-CIF Division II First Team and the Pacific Coast League Second Team. As a senior, she was named to the SoCal Invitational All-Tournament Team, All-CIF Division I First Team and the Pacific Coast League First Team. She also played water polo for the Corona del Mar Water Polo club team, which medaled at the Pan-Pacific Games in Auckland, New Zealand.
