Lloyd Brewer wrapped up his 21st season as a member of the Tiger coaching staff in the same dugout as head coach Scott Bradley in 2020. The two were college teammates at the University of North Carolina.
As a player in college, Brewer was a member of the Tar Heel team that competed in the 1978 College World Series. As a senior, Brewer was named first-team All-ACC.
Brewer spent several years out of baseball following college before returning to the bench at Lafayette College as an assistant coach from 1995 to 1998. In 1999 he was promoted to the head coaching position at Lafayette on an interim basis.
Brewer received a B.A. in history from North Carolina in 1980 and a M.A. in sports management from East Stroudsburg in 1996. Brewer and his wife Pam, an associate dean of students at Lafayette, have a son Jason, who graduated from Penn State, and a daughter, Amy, who played field hockey at Delaware.
