Caden Shapiro Signs With Pittsburgh Pirates

PRINCETON - Caden Shapiro was signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
"This has been a great summer for Princeton Baseball," said Robert H.B. Baldwin '42 Head Coach of Baseball Scott Bradley. "To have Caden sign in addition to Matt Scannell, Jake Bold and with Sean Episcope's draft selection, we are so happy for all of these guys. Caden has been a constant force through his time at Princeton and has worked tremendously hard over his four years to earn this."
Shapiro appeared in 162 games with the Tigers, recording a .264/.376/.384 slash line with 14 home runs, 72 RBI, 22 doubles and 96 runs scored. He was Second-Team All-Ivy in 2023 and was a two-time Academic All-Ivy selection while earning CSC Academic All-District in 2023.
He is the fourth Princeton Tiger to earn a professional contract this summer joining Matt Scannell (Blue Jays), Jake Bold (Padres) and Sean Episcope (Brewers).
