David Grauer saw action in six games for Princeton as a sophomore, scoring three times, and taking three steals. Grauer’s first score came early in the season against Iona, and he then scored goals in back-to-back games at Southerns against Washington & Jefferson and Johns Hopkins to help lead Princeton to the Southern title game.
Grauer appeared in four games during his freshman season, scoring his lone goal in his first-ever appearance, a win against Gannon. Grauer was one of seven Tigers to be named to the CWPA All-Academic Team.
Grauer grew up in Atherton, Calif., where he learned to play water polo. Grauer went east to the Lawrenceville School for high school. There, he played water polo in the driver position and swam sprint freestyle, eventually becoming captain of the water polo team and an All-America swimmer.
