Harvard Sweeps Princeton to Take Control of Ivy Women's Volleyball Race

PRINCETON, N.J. - Sabrina King (Jr., Laguna Beach, Cal.) and Emily Brown (Jr., Palo Alto, Cal.) had double-digit kills, but their efforts weren't enough to lead the Princeton University women's volleyball team to a victory over Ivy League foe Harvard. The loss drops Princeton to 13-5 overall and 2-1 in the Ivy League. Harvard is the lone undefeated team in the league with a 3-0 record.
Linda Jellison (Sr., Quincy, Mass.), who killed 18 balls and had an attack percentage of .457, led Harvard's offensive attack, although it was Mindy Jellin (Fr., Stockton, Cal.) who served the final seven points of the third game to win the match. Jellin also had 45 assists.
Melissa Ford (Sr., Los Angeles, Cal.) had 47 assists for the Tigers while Anne Ziegler (Fr., Los Angeles, Cal.) hit at a .417 clip off the bench. King led Princeton with 19 digs.
Princeton will continue its Ivy season with a match against Dartmouth tomorrow at 4 p.m.
