PRINCETON, N.J. - Before it headed off to Europe for a Holiday break tour, the Princeton women's hockey team played host to the Gold medal winning team from the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, Japan. The Tigers were not victorious, but they learned a lot in the 6-1 exhibition loss.
The National team tallied four goals before the Tigers could dent the scoreboard. When they did, Nikola Holmes (Fr., Apple, Valley, Minn.) was the scorer. Andrea Kilbourne (So., Saranac Lake, N.Y.) and Jessica Fedderly (So., Wyoming, Minn.) assisted.
Team USA goals were scored by Stephanie O'Sullivan, A.J. Mleczko, Brandy Fisher, Erin Magee, Karyn Bye and team captain and star of the winter games Cammie Granato.
Sarah Ahlquist (Fr., South St. Paul, Minn.) faced 30 shots from the national team in the loss.
The Tigers are now off to Europe for several exhibition matchups.
