Princeton Beats Penn State and UConn in Three-Way Meet

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Princeton University men's indoor track team hosted a three-way duel meet this afternoon in Jadwin Gym. The Tigers topped Penn State and Connecticut by a score of 134 (Princeton), 111 (Penn State), 110 (Connecticut).
Tora Harris (So., College, Park, Ga.) set a new meet record and also achieved an NCAA qualifying mark in the high jump with his 7-2 1/2 leap. In the mile run, Michael Spence (Jr., East Stroudsburg, Pa.) notched the first of seven first place finishes for the Tigers. He had a time of 4:13.69. Adrian Murray (Sr., Sayreville, N.J.) won the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.30. James Colling (Sr., Henderson, Va.) set a new meet record with his 2:27.69 performance in the 1000 meters. Dan Shimooka (Sr., Escondido, Calif.) won the pole vault with a mark of 15-4. John Mack (Jr., New Haven, Mich.) took the men's 200-meter dash in a time of 21.83.
The men will next travel to Harvard for the H.Y.P. meet on February 13th.
