PRINCETON, N. J. - In its first loss of the season, Princeton (5-1) fell to the University of New Hampshire (5-0-1, 4-0-0) 10-2 in today's game at Baker Rink. For Princeton, senior Ali Coughlin (Lincoln, Mass.) tallied two points on the day.
All of the Tigers' offense came in the first period which began with freshman Andrea Kilbourne (Saranac Lake, N.Y.) scoring the first goal just 34 seconds into the game. Coughlin and sophomore Abbey Fox (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) assisted on the play. Coughlin provided the only other Tiger offense by picking the puck from a New Hampshire defenseman and taking it in to score unassisted.
For New Hampshire Kim Knox and Liz Monteith had four-point days while Kelly McManus and Carisa Zaban both turned in three-point performances. In goal for the Wildcats, Alicia Roberts had 18 saves and for the Tigers, Susan Maes blocked 21 of 31 New Hampshire shots.
Princeton will next host Queens, Minnesota, and Northeastern in the Sixth Annual Thanksgiving Invitational. The Tigers will open up against Queens on Friday, November 27 at 8 p.m.
