Tigers Post First Tie of Season Against Dartmouth

PRINCETON, N.J. - Despite being outshot 39-18, the Tigers came away with a 2-2 tie against Dartmouth in today's contest at Baker Rink. The Big Green were able to rally and come back from a two-point deficit to force the game into overtime.
Sophomore Laura Hays (Meadville, Pa.) provided the only offense of the first period, netting the goal off of junior Danya Marshman's (Huntington Woods, Mich.) assist.
In the second period, sophomore Annamarie Holmes (Apple Valley, Minn.) scored the only power-play goal of the game. Dartmouth started mounting their comeback late in the period when Sarah Halsell scored the Big Green's first goal.
Dartmouth defenseman Correne Bredin finished off the day?s scoring when she netted the Big Green's tying goal late in the third period.
In net for Dartmouth, Meaghan Cahill turned aside 18 Tiger attempts while Tiger netminder Susan Maes had a busy day saving 39 Big Green shots.
The Tigers will host Boston College tomorrow at Baker Rink at 2 p.m.
