Julia Beaver defeated teammate Meredith Quick in the consolation match to take third place at the Constable Invitational Sunday at Jadwin Gym.

Trinity's Janine Thompson defeated Yale's Laura Keating 9-6, 9-1, 9-2 in the championship match. Thompson, the fourth-seed, upset Beaver in four games in the semifinals.

Quick had knocked off Penn's Katie Patrick in the quarterfinals, avenging a loss to Patrick the week before in a dual match.
